Courses Taught
The following is the list of courses I taught at Boise State University along with a short description for courses I taught regularly.
MATH 361 Probability & Statistics I
Calculus-based introductory probability & statistics course primarily intended for students majoring in mathematical sciences, but also for other STEM majors. Covers descriptive statistics, probability, discrete and continuous random variables and their probability distributions, joint probability distribution of two random variables, and sampling distribution and central limit theorem. Emphasis on theoretical foundation of the methods and their application in applied contexts.
MATH 360 Engineering Statistics
Calculus-based introductory probability & statistics class intended for students majoring in various engineering disciplines. Covers descriptive statistics, probability, discrete and continuous random variables and their probability distributions, sampling distribution and central limit theorem, and confidence interval. Emphasis on intuitive and practical interpretations of the methods and their applications in applied contexts. R programming language is used to support certain computations.
MATH 254 Statistical Methods
Algebra-based introductory statistics class intended for students majoring in fields other than math or engineering. Covers descriptive statistics, data collection and study design, concepts of probability, hypothesis testing, confidence interval, simple linear regression, and ANOVA. Emphasis on statistical reasoning and communication. R programming language is used to perform computations and create graphics.
MATH 189 Discrete Mathematics
MATH 170 Calculus I
MATH 144 Analytic Trigonometry
MATH 143 College Algebra
MATH 123 Math in Modern Society
